Description:

CCE Nassau invites elementary classes to the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center for hands-on learning about ruminant animals, aligned with the Dairy in the Classroom (DITC) curriculum. Classrooms are not required to participate in the 2024-2025 DITC Session. An abbreviated field trip version will offer students hands-on activities like ice cream making, milking demonstrations, farming experiences, and connecting them to everyday products from ruminants.

We can accommodate up to classrooms that are 25 children, plus teacher and two parent chaperones.

Cost:$15 per child, maximum 25 per class. Bus services are not included, but a bus stipend is available for classes/schools to apply for. Please email nassaucounty4h@cornell.edu if you are interested in applying.

Once you are registered and a cost is calculated, an invoice will be sent to you from CCE Nassau.
