EFNEP Nutrition Workshops

EFNEP assists participants to acquire knowledge and skills to change attitudes and behavior necessary to improve diet, health, and general wellbeing. FREE workshops are taught in English and Spanish to eligible groups and/or individuals virtually or at community sites throughout Nassau County. The Community Nutrition Educators continually strive to help participants recognize the value of good food and nutrition, make food safety habit forming, and balance their diet and dollars.

Over 8 workshops, you will learn about:

  • Making quick and healthy meals for your family
  • Planning meals and saving money
  • Smart food shopping
  • Food safety
  • How to read and understand a food label
  • Enjoying physical activities

Those who attend 6 sessions will receive a certificate from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County. To schedule classes, please call 516-832-2591 or email nassau@cornell.edu
