Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County is offering a hands-on pruning workshop.

Join us on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at East Meadow Farm

Cost: $10 per person

Description: The workshop will include a talk on basic pruning techniques, what to look for when pruning, when to prune, tools needed and safety issues when pruning. This will be followed by pruning of select on-site trees and shrubs. This will be supervised by Master Gardeners.

Adults Only

No tools are needed, all will be provided. However, you must bring the following items for the actual pruning:

  • Safety head gear - i.e. hard hat, bicycle helmet, ski helmet, or football helmet
  • Safety goggles
  • Work gloves
  • Work shoes or boots (no sneakers)

Space is limited to 25 participants so please register early.
