Long Island Farmers Markets

As an organization committed to helping our communities live healthy lives, we encourage Nassau County residents to visit their local farmers markets!

Farmers Markets are public gatherings that take place on a recurring basis, with the goal of bringing together farmers/producers, shoppers, and communities. While, by definition, farmers markets feature at least two farmers, markets vary based on the make-up of their community and feature vendors selling everything from farm-fresh produce, flowers, and honey to breads, baked goods, pickles, soup, dog treats, and more! According to the NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets, there are over 400 farmers markets in New York State. Of that, there are around 12 farmers markets throughout Nassau County, and more in Suffolk County and the NYC boroughs.

Check out the attached pages for information on the CCE Nassau Farmers Market and where to support local near you, as well as resources for customers, producers, and market managers.

Thank you for shopping local!
