Garden-Based Learning programs are horticulture programs that are designed for hobbyist gardeners. These introductory workshops provide participants with new information and the confidence to improve their own gardens and landscapes.

Making Healthy Soil: The condition of your soil affects all aspects of your landscape. The health of your plants, the amount of work you put into your property, and the damage or benefit you contribute to the environment, all depend on your soil. Learn how to make your soil the best it can be, to create a thriving garden, lawn, and landscape. Recommended Age: Adult

Vegetable Gardening: We all like food– so let’s grow what we like! Find out the general needs of vegetables, and specific ways to grow the ones you want for your table, while learning from the examples in our demonstration gardens. Recommended Age: Adult

Container Gardening: Think you need a big property to grow food? Think again – there are edible plants for any space and situation! Learn about food-growing techniques and options that are adaptable to tight spaces. Recommended Age: Adult

Cost: All program fees listed in description cover the entire length of the session. Register for a full day of the Gardening School and receive a reduced price! Please be sure to select "Combined (Reduced Cost)" when registering to receive the discount.
In the event of inclement weather, the program will be rescheduled. If the program is cancelled due to insufficient registrations, all fees will be refunded within one-week.
