The program is open to all and are of particular interest to individuals with diabetes or prediabetes and members of their family and support system. An exclusive program offered only by Cooperative Extensions across the United States, DWD helps participants learn self-management strategies to better manage, prevent, or delay complications surrounding diabetes.
The course helps individuals build food skills through cooking demonstrations while learning about carbohydrate counting, portion control, label reading, and meal planning.
