COVID-19 Update

Due to our on-going COVID-19 concerns our Eisenhower Park Headquarters (SAC Building) and East Meadow Farm (EMF) indoor facilities remain closed to the public. These buildings will be open for scheduled programs and events only. We will continue to offer workshops and classes online, please visit our EVENTS page for more information on scheduled events and classes.

The EMF gardens (Community and Demonstration) are open to the public.

On March 19, 2012 our horticulture department relocated to a new farm building acquired by Nassau County through the Federal Open Land Act. The building is on 2 1/2 acres of organic farm land centrally located in East Meadow at:

832 Merrick Avenue
East Meadow, NY 11554

Diagnostic Information Center — CCE Staff and trained Master Gardeners assist members and non members with counter visits, soil pH tests, and phone calls. Click here to visit our Diagnostic and Soil Testing page.

  • Indoor and outdoor insects 
  • Growing fruits and vegetables

Our Community Gardens are a wonderful way to bring horticulture and gardening to a community that may have limited space. For more information on our Community Gardens, visit our Community Gardens page. 

Our Demonstration Gardens at East Meadow Farm are maintained by Master Gardeners. Admission is free and they are open every day from dawn to dusk.

  • Dahlia Garden
  • Butterfly Garden
  • Herb Garden
  • Compost demonstration area
  • Mini Arboretum
  • Vegetable Garden
