East Meadow Farm

On March 19, 2012 our horticulture department relocated to a new farm building acquired by Nassau County through the Federal Open Land Act. The building is on 2 1/2 acres of organic farm land centrally located in East Meadow at:

Diagnostic Information Center — CCE Staff and trained Master Gardeners assist members and non members with counter visits, soil pH tests, and phone calls. 

Horticulture Hotline and Diagnostic Lab Walk-in service is open (March-October 31st.)Tues., Weds., Thurs., & Sat., 10 am to 1 pm, Thurs. eves. 4-7 pm, 516-565-5265 ext. 7.

Winter Hours are Tues., Weds. & Thurs, 10 am to 1 pm.

Some of the services provided are:
  • Plants and lawn care
  • Indoor and outdoor insects 
  • Growing fruits and vegetables

Our Demonstration Gardens at East Meadow Farm are maintained by Master Gardeners. Admission is free and they are open every day from dawn to dusk.

  • Compost demonstration area
  • Mini Arboretum
  • Vegetable Garden
