ESNY provides nutrition education materials and sponsors education events and classes in local communities on a variety of nutrition topics like: healthy eating on a budget, smart shopping for vegetables and fruit, healthy meal planning, basic cooking and food safety skills, weight control and physical activity.

Online Classes

Due to Covid-19 we are offering our fee based Nutrition Programs to community groups, libraries and organizations via Zoom. 

Some of our topics include Mindful Eating, Healthy Eating 101, Garden to Table Nutrition, Heart Smart Nutrition and Make a Better Breakfast.

Diabetes and Our Food Choice - August 4, 2020

Join us as we explore how our food choices affect our blood sugar. We will discuss how to create a balanced plate, the roles of fat & protein, & diabetes-friendly recipes. Other topics include timing of meals and snacks, what to avoid, added sugars and label reading.


Blood Pressure, Nutrition & Stress  - July 13, 2020

Join us to explore how lifestyle factors, including dietary choices & stress management, affect our blood pressure. We will also highlight ways to keep our mouths happy with flavorful alternatives to salty condiments!


Building the Perfect Smoothie - June 26, 2020

Join us as we explore the best way to build a smoothie!  We will highlight the health benefits of using antioxidant-rich seasonal produce, heart-healthy fats and protein to create a simple, delicious smoothie.
