Yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues. Here we get into places you rarely tend to such as your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. Yin yoga is slower and more meditative style of yoga, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Poses are held for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, allowing you to stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues. You will also learn how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts, which in turn helps you navigate day-to-day. This class will begin and end with a brief meditation.
