4-H Public Presentation Program and competitive Event

Participating youth will decide on the topic of their choice, do the research, participate in confidence-building activities and work with adult mentors at our monthly meetings.

Youth will construct a 5 to 15 minute presentation, practice their public speaking skills by delivering to each other, and learn how to use a rubric to critique and improve the quality of the presentation.

Participants will present their masterpieces at our Public Speaking Event.Nassau County youth will formally present to a community audience and 2 evaluators, reach for “the perfect score” and earn a 4-H Communication Arts Pin for their collection.

Meeting Dates:   February 10th, March 10th, and April 14th

                     10:30am to 1:30pm

Competition Date:April 28th
