Position Summary:
This position will serve as a Natural Resource Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Nassau County (CCE-Nassau) and will assist with implementing existing CCE-Nassau natural resource educational programming and activities at our East Meadow Farm (EMF) and throughout Nassau County. Program topics include but are not limited to: urban and community forestry, professional horticulture, turf grass management, marine science and sustainable energy. The Natural Resource Educator will deliver research-based programs utilizing existing curriculum and resources at East Meadow Farm (EMF) and throughout Nassau County. This position will also coordinate assigned administrative aspects of the Program and will assist the Supervisor with outreach efforts for programming. This position will work closely with other CCE Nassau program areas, especially 4-H and East Meadow Farm to coordinate overlaps in program areas. This position will represent Cornell Cooperative Extension Nassau to the general public, community leaders and government officials in a professional manner. Will appreciate and embrace diversity in all interactions with clientele, staff, volunteers, and the public. This position will also assist with other miscellaneous projects/duties at EMF and other duties as assigned.

POSITION DETAILS:
This position is a full-time, non-exempt position, 40 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $25.00, commensurate with experience. This position, based on eligibility, offers a comprehensive benefit package, to include: health and dental insurance, NYS retirement, vacation and sick leave.
