Location: Riverhead, NY
This position will serve as the Maintenance and Property Supervisor for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Nassau County. The Maintenance and Property Supervisor will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and upkeep of the buildings, grounds, utilities, roads and program areas at the CCE Nassau facilities at Dorothy P. Flint. Additional locations to assist in similar maintenance responsibilities may include the East Meadow Farm, and the administrative building in the Special Activities Center (SAC) House. Oversee construction and renovation projects, operational services, security, inventory control and participate in maintenance and construction contract negotiations. Diagnose problems or oversee troubleshooting work. Ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations. Manage assigned budget and monitor expenses. Direct and supervise seasonal maintenance staff. Will deal with emergencies that arise on the property. Will work a non-traditional work schedule as per the needs of the facilities.
