Salary: $19.00 - $25.00 per hr, based on experience
The Long Island Taste NY Market Shift Supervisor promotes local agricultural products and agri-tourism and will help represent CCE-NC to the public, NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets and Cornell University; a familiarity with local agriculture products and retail food sales will be demonstrated.
The Long Island Taste NY Market Shift Supervisor will assist the Market Manager with the overall operation of the LITNY store. The LI Taste NY is a specific grant-funded program. Primary responsibilities include Assisting with managing all clerks and staff during specified daily shift at store. Assist with clerical/administrative support with day-to-day planning, coordination, routine management, including but not limited to opening and closing duties. Customer support guidance to market clerks and lead clerks staff, straightforward inventory management, purchasing, operation of cash register, basic cash controls, operation and maintenance of inventory and Point of Sale software, regular staff scheduling, transportation of inventory from warehouse to store, customer service, and general record keeping. Develop creative coffee menu, and recommend new coffee roasters, select new coffee roaster each month and provide daily coffee menu list. Serve as overall supervisor while on floor, all clerks report to shift supervisor.
Other: Position is full time, 40 hours per week. Must be able to work nights and weekends
