Position Summary:

Under supervision of the EMF Association Program Leader, the EMF Farm Stand Manager will be responsible for assisting staff /volunteer as per the directions of the Association Program Leader. Coordinating with FREE (Family Residences & Essential Enterprises) scheduling sales of the EMF farm stand, coordinate with vendors to make sure required paper work is received. Responsible for overall management of the entire community farm stand, including displays, pricing, sales, marketing and operating stand. Responsible for all set up and take down of the stand and storage of all products. Provide education as it relates to the scope of the farm stand and farm stand management.

This position is a Temporary part time position from June-Oct. 2017. During the months of June and October 2017 the position will be 19 hours per week, (to be coordinated with supervisor). During the months of July, August and September this position will be full time at 40 hours per week. This position requires weekends, evening and nights.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
  • Meet acceptable background check standard, if required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Skill/interest in gardening
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Teamwork and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Knowledge of both Farm Stand operation
  • Experience working with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to use computers, including experience with Microsoft word, excel, and internet communication programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow through on commitments.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, effective manner.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license. 

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associates Degree or equivalent
    • Bookkeeping experience
    • Horticulture/Agriculture Experience
