Administrative Assistant


The Administrative Assistant uses considerable independent judgment in providing administrative support to the Executive Director, the Board of Directors, Administrative Team and its standing committees. Arrange, organize and support requested meetings and functions. Provide Administrative assistance and routine office assistance for entire organization, including assisting with all administration at CCE-NC Headquarters in Jericho, NY. Also provide administrative assistance with major program areas including Taste NY, DPF 4H Camp, East Meadow Farm, Nutrition Program. Assist with database management and data entry. Also, assist with mailroom responsibilities, printing/copying and office duties.


  • High School Degree or business school certificate/degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant/Executive Assistant to a senior level professional
  • Proven track record of maintaining highest level of confidential
  • Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
  • Ability to meet acceptable background check standards, if required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate


  • Ability to establish priorities and perform tasks with minimum of direction effectively and efficiently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, supportive working relationships in a cooperative team environment
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to exhibit superior organizational skills
  • Not-for-Profit experience a plus

This is a TEMP non-exempt, full-time position, 40 hours per week.

Pay Rate Type: Hourly
